As you now know Mack has FPIES and EoE.
These are both very rare food allergies and to have both combined, is even more of a challenge.
Mack at one point was able to eat some foods and was able to develop a love for food.
His favorite was Breyers Natural Vanilla Ice cream, Salami,
Lays potato chips and yogurt.
After a endoscopy that was done,
they had to remove these from his diet.
It was causing his esophagus to totally deteriorate.
As well as getting severally ill and not able to function.

So now he misses these yummy favorites and instead of getting
sad, mad, angry at the world.
My child had developed his own coping mechanism.
He will in his own charming way, tell us how he used to have it at his
GOLDEN CASTLE
and that is was ok, he does not need it on this world.
He loved it when he could have it.

Simply amazing....
At age 3, he was able to figure this out.
Imagine sitting with a bunch of people ...
everyone eating ice cream and you knowing how yummy it is and
not able to have any because it would make you deathly ill.
So yes, does Mack LOVE FOOD.... yes. Does his miss food... yes.
Can he have food? Time will tell.
Hopefully he will be able to outgrow the FPIES portion of his medical complexities
so once again he can love and enjoy the simple necessities of life.
